Too scared to try things because of people's perceptions?

I think the hardest thing about growing up is realising not everyone is like you. Not everyone has the same morals and principles or even the same hobbies and things like blogging and youtube might seem quite alien to them.

When I first started blogging I kept it very hidden, I almost felt ashamed to tell people about it, and to be honest not a lot still know now. I set up separate social media accounts and really tried to hide myself. You're probably wondering whats the point in doing something if you don't want people to find out? It wasn't that, I obviously blog for people to read and connect but the thought of girls finding out at school terrified me. I didn't want people talking about me or my pages being posted onto facebook and things.

Its stupid really, I mean what is so weird about blogging or youtubing. Why should you have to feel ashamed of something you enjoy doing. The people that comment are the ones who are so little open minded to try new things, some are envious that you have the confidence to do it and some just want to cause hassle for you (bullies).

If you want to be successful in life you have to ignore what other people think of you. If you want to be a blogger or youtuber go ahead and do it. You shouldn't have to be ashamed of something you enjoy, at the end of the day you will go a lot further than the people who hide behind screens trying to make your life miserable.

Now I am hoping to upload youtube videos but at the minute I don't have a lot of time to get round to recording, the main thing that still puts me off is people's views but I won't let that affect me anymore.

Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
