Maxi Dresses

I can't begin to tell you how much I have missed posting OOTD'S. The reason I have stopped is due to not having nice enough backgrounds. From now on I'm really trying to make an effort to be creative with my posts. So currently I'm in Portugal, abroad always has perfect backgrounds and everything always looks ten times better in the sun. My OOTD today is how to style Maxi dresses and jump out of your comfort zone. Don't be scared to try something new and experiment with your style!

So a little bit of background history of my fashion. I was always one of those girls who never stepped out of their comfort zone or wore figure hugging clothes because I was extremely self conscious of my figure and couldn't think of anything worse. My number one tip for you is don't hide your size. Appreciate and respect your body, your not young forever!

This maxi dress is from H&M and was £8. STEAL an absolute steal. You can't go wrong with black can you ? Goes with absolutely anything and everything. This material is super stretchy so you can eat as much as you want and stay cool because its extremely thin. I would advise wearing a thong underneath as you can see outlines of pants. I don't find this one very see through however the green one I have is extremely see through so be weary of that.

I always think with any outfit you need to add something to it, whether this is a pair of jazzy sandals or cute jewellery. I decided to wear my floppy hat, this was £15 from H&M a few years ago, I believe you can still get this. These hats are perfect for abroad and just complete any outfit adding a stylish touch. I have always been obsessed with hats and think this is perfect for this look.

The dress comes just below your knees so not too long or trailing behind just a perfect length. On my feet I am wearing some beige Accesorize sandals. Didn't want my entire outfit to be black so thought I would add a lil bit of colour.

I hope you enjoyed this OOTD. I would advise any of you if your body conscious to wear what ever you want and really experiment because finding new styles that compliment you is such a massive confidence boost. A few years ago I never wore hats or figure hugging clothing. Stepping out of your comfort zone can be so rewarding so don't be afraid!

Make sure to check out my YouTube for lookbooks and keep your eyes peeled this week for more OOTD'S.
