Denim skirts and knee highs?

Today's OOTD post is showing you how to make a simple denim skirt dressy and on trend. I'm totally obsessed with this outfit at the moment, I would obviously wear tights with this but for the shoot it looked better with none, you get me?

For this look I'm wearing a turtle neck bodysuit from Boohoo, my newest edition to my wardrobe my beautiful denim skirt from Topshop and FINALLY some knee high boots from Miss Selfridge that actually fit me?! Can you believe I found some in the end, its been a very long journey.

I love the simplicity of this outfit, the fact its very simple but looks like you've made a lot of effort. I'm loving turtle neck jumpers at the moment they are perfect for keeping you that lil extra bit warm and bodysuits just make your life ten times easier! No more tucking into skirts constantly or your jeans, so that's why I always buy them instead of tops.

So this denim skirt is from Topshop, it was £28. I have always liked the idea of wearing a denim skirt because they pretty much go with anything but finding one that fits is actually impossible when your waist and bum are VERY different in size. This one is a size 8 but still gapes at the back a lil bit, but thankfully not too much!

The knee highs finish this look and I think compliment the outfit very well. I never like adding too many colours so this is enough for me instead of just being black head to toe. I think the boots can be controversial, not everyone is a fan and they seem to get branded trashy quite a lot, personally I don't see the issue, it purely depends on how you style them.

So hope you've enjoyed this OOTD! Let me know what you think x
